How it works

How does a Dragonkind Threshing work?

Four stages: create an account, get your wing and squad, brave the Threshing, meet your dragon. This threshing dragon guide shows what players report at each step, in the order you meet it. No story spoilers.

  1. Create an account

    Community report

Players describe signing up with an email address before they are let into Threshing Valley. The site can be busy; early players saw queues and errors on launch day.

  2. Get your wing and squad

    Community report

You are placed in a wing, a section and a squad. One player's record reads First Wing, Claw Section, Third Squad. How the placement is decided is unknown.

  3. Brave the Threshing

    Confirmed

A choose-your-own-adventure. You decide whether to go alone or with others, which way to run, whether to help a cadet in trouble, and what to do when a dragon faces you.

  4. Meet your dragon

    Community report

If it goes well, a result card gives your dragon a name, tail, age, color and bloodline. If it goes badly, you are burned and must wait before trying again. Many players report about 4 hours.

Where players disagree

Same step, different outcomes.

These are the 4 arguments you will see most in forums. We show both sides and where we land.
